The operating model

Many organisations know their IT is more complicated and exposed than it should be. Work is spread across laptops, cloud accounts, shared links, email attachments, contractors, legacy systems and several suppliers. When someone joins, changes role or leaves, the business has to chase access, files, passwords and evidence. When an incident or audit question arrives, the cost becomes visible.

DeskBridge was built to reduce that burden. DeskBridge Workspace provides the controlled working environment. DeskBridge Sovereign provides connected applications for people, records, documents, communication, operational work and insight. Together they give an organisation one accountable boundary for access, support, security and evidence.

To be eligible, organisations must sign up for the paid pilot programme by 30 October 2026. Places are limited because a pilot must receive proper onboarding, migration planning and support rather than being treated as an unattended free trial.

What the pilot gives you

Workspace gives your people a secure place to work, with named access, identity controls, MFA and FIDO2/WebAuthn-ready options where supported. DeskBridge Authenticator can support sign-in, approvals and recovery workflows. Contractor and supplier access can be scoped by role, project and time, with review and expiry built into the operating model.

Sovereign gives you the connected business layer inside that workspace: Directory, Flow, Vault, Claim, People, Engage, Connect, WorkHub, Insight and the wider Control capabilities of Ledger and Forge, subject to agreed pilot scope and readiness. Instead of assembling separate portals and then trying to reconcile them, you receive one governed application family.

DBAV and Guardian: protection with a chain of evidence

DBAV, DeskBridge's anti-malware and content-analysis layer, inspects agreed file paths and release points using signature scanning and bounded analysis for suspicious scripts, macros, Office and PDF structures, downloaders, credential-theft indicators and other dangerous patterns. It can correlate ransomware indicators such as mass file change, entropy increase, extension churn, ransom notes and controlled canary changes. Its decision records use metadata, stable rule identifiers and digests rather than copying raw content into the security log.

Guardian is the governed response layer. If DBAV raises a serious signal, Guardian validates the exact client, tenant, device, endpoint or storage target and checks approvals, rollback references and policy. It can preserve evidence and coordinate an authorised freeze, isolation or recovery workflow. DBAV does not execute destructive actions. Guardian does not accept a vague alert as permission. That is how the service creates a defensible audit trail from detection to response.

This matters to a pilot client because you are not merely receiving another antivirus icon. You are testing an operating model that can explain what was detected, why it mattered, what action was approved, what was protected, and what happened next.

Where the pilot can reduce cost

The pilot is heavily subsidised, but the larger saving comes from reducing the hidden cost of fragmented IT. You can consolidate parts of your workspace, hosting, mail, business applications, access administration, support handling and migration effort. You can reduce unmanaged endpoints and informal sharing. You can make onboarding and offboarding repeatable instead of rebuilding them for every person.

You also reduce the cost of proving control. Access approvals, account lifecycle records, support tickets, change notes, offboarding confirmation, mail trace and management summaries can be produced as part of the service where included in scope. That is valuable when a client, insurer, auditor or board asks not only “are you secure?” but “show me how you know.”

Who should apply?

The programme is suited to small and mid-sized organisations, professional services firms, contractor-heavy teams, regulated or audit-sensitive operations, and organisations preparing for stronger Cyber Essentials, client due-diligence or AI governance expectations.

You do not need to replace every system on day one. The pilot begins with a scope review covering users, applications, data, mail, access risks, migration needs and evidence expectations. DeskBridge then maps the right working boundary and the practical route into it.

What the pilot is worth

The pilot combines Core Workspace with the entire DeskBridge Sovereign suite. Core Workspace is normally priced from £49 per user per month. The full Sovereign Control capability, including the wider business applications, Ledger, Forge, advanced Insight and control reporting, is normally delivered through DeskBridge Assurance from £119 per user per month, subject to scope.

Under this pilot, the combined service is available for only £12 per user per month for the first three months.

This is a comparison with the published DeskBridge Assurance guidance and remains subject to agreed users, applications, migration scope, hosting requirements and service boundaries. The pilot is intended to let organisations experience the full operating potential of Sovereign without paying the normal full package price during the evaluation period.

The £119 Assurance guide includes a different service and assurance scope from Core Workspace. The figures above are an illustrative published-price comparison, not a guaranteed like-for-like saving. Ten users at £12 each total £120 per month, or £360 over three months, in per-user pilot service fees. Migration and any other agreed charges are separate. The written quote confirms tax treatment, migration baseline, hosting period and post-pilot pricing before commitment.
